Melitta offers its employees the opportunity to save for their old age and protect themselves against occupational disability – with attractive terms and conditions – as part of its company pension scheme. Naturally, we also ensure their safety when traveling with our group accident insurance.
Write your own story at Melitta
Just graduated and ready to launch your future career? At Melitta, we can get your career off to a flying start. Our International Trainee Program starts once a year. Over 18 months in five different departments, you’ll get to know the many brands, products, locations, and people of the Melitta Group. You’ll have an opportunity to find out which function is right for you – and demonstrate what you’re made of.
Whichever area you choose to start your work as a trainee at Melitta, you’ll be fully integrated into the working process from the very first day and assume full responsibility in our varied daily business. By working in a variety of operating divisions, you’ll experience our diverse brands and products – and find out which work is most interesting for you. Another exciting station in our trainee program is your assignment to one of our foreign subsidiaries. This will enable you to directly experience and shape the internationality of Melitta – and expand your social network.
In addition to this tailored program with relevant postings, we also invest in your development process. That’s why at the end of each posting, you’ll receive comprehensive feedback on your achievements and personal progress. Based on your personal development plan, you can systematically build up and improve your skills by attending various training courses. Throughout the entire program, your personal mentor – an experienced Melitta manager – will be there to assist you.
We help our employees shape their everyday working lives in a sustainable and healthy way. To promote health and fitness, employees can take advantage of the company’s diverse range of sports activities, cycle to work on a company bike, or participate in one of our health drives – either alone or as a team. In addition, we offer our employees massages in the workplace as well as professional, external telephone advice for their work-related or private concerns.
Our employees are the foundation for our success. It therefore goes without saying that we display our appreciation for their performance and provide them with optimal working environments. This is why Melitta has employee canteens, a wide range of free drinks and various employee services, such as a laundry service or mail delivery to the office. We celebrate our successes together with our cross-facility summer party and other employee events.
To enable our employees to give their utmost, we ensure that their working and family lives are mutually compatible. Melitta offers optimal conditions with various flexible working or part-time models, as well as our location-specific offers for childcare, such as the company kindergarten or a parent-child office.
We offer our employees various opportunities to further their education within the Melitta Group. Our people development and talent management process enables Melitta to develop, promote and retain staff for the long term.
What you need to offer to become a trainee at Melitta?
One thing’s for certain, you need to be motivated to learn new things, and to contribute and implement your own ideas. One prerequisite for the trainee program is a bachelor’s, master’s or diploma degree in a field of study currently required by the Melitta Group. You should have very good to good grades in the specific area required for one of the traineeships on offer. Initial practical experience will help underpin your theoretical knowledge in one of Melitta’s focus areas. As you’ll also gain experience abroad during your trainee program, fluency in German and English is required. Maybe you’ve already spent a semester abroad or done an internship with an international company?
Our annual application phase for the international Melitta Trainee Program begins with the Graduate Congress in Cologne in late November. Take this opportunity to have a chat with us and get to know us. Former trainees will be there to give their own personal insight into their traineeship and career at Melitta so far.
If you decide to start as a trainee at Melitta, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in an online assessment center. If you can demonstrate your skills here, you’ll be invited to a personal interview and get to know your future mentor. If the chemistry is right on both sides, we can look forward to welcoming you on July 1st!
